Immunization Highlights 2011-2012

2013 The Vaccine-preventable Diseases and Immunization Programme at the WHO Regional Office for Europe provides policy guidance and technical assistance to countries to maximize equitable access to vaccines of assured quality, including new immunization products and technologies. This document provides an overview of programme activities over the period 2011-2012, focusing primarily on efforts to control current measles and rubella outbreaks, achieve measles and rubella elimination by 2015 and sustain the Region’s polio-free status.
