Verification of measles and rubella elimination in the WHO European Region. Report on a series of intercountry meetings. October 2012 – February 2013

A series of four intercountry meetings on the verification process for measles and rubella elimination in the WHO European Region were held between October 2012 and February 2013. The goal of these meetings was to brief all Member States on the proposed framework for verification of elimination of measles and rubella and the format and requirements of the annual reporting system. The meetings also reviewed performance indicators of measles and rubella elimination, the terms of reference for national verification committees  and their relationships and reporting procedures with the Regional Verification Commission (RVC) and the WHO Secretariat. The meeting report summarizes the discussions, presentations and RVC recommendations.
