Slovenia
The University Clinic Golnik, a member of the Health Promoting Hospitals Network, hosted a national conference on TB on Friday, 23 March 2012. The clinic is a national referral centre for TB. The prevalence of TB in Slovenia is relatively low with 9.3 patients per 100 000 (in 2009) and vulnerable populations are the homeless, migrants, illegal drug users and other patients with weak immune systems. The national conference focused on the epidemiological data and drugs that are available for the treatment of TB, as well as on outpatient treatment for suitable TB patients.
