The WHO Country Office in cooperation with international organizations, the Ministry of Health, and other partners will organize several activities to increase public awareness on the actions and activities being undertaken by WHO and others to combat TB in the country.

• On 23 March 2012 the WHO Country Office will organize an exhibition of publications and informational materials for students and professors of the Tajik State Medical University. Partner organizations, including IOM, GFATM, UNDP, the TB Center, Project Hope and USAID Quality Health Care project, will join this initiative by submitting their informational materials and publications.
• In cooperation with UNGFATM, USAID (Quality Health Care Project), Project HOPE and the TB Center, the WHO Country Office will be organizing a concert on World TB Day on 24 March 2012 in one of the city complexes "Kohi Jomi" with performances by Tajik pop singers. This activity will attract major public attention to the problems of TB and its treatment and care. The Tajik singers will address the main messages of the day.
• Also on 24 March, the WHO Country Office will conduct a marathon radio talk show on one of the radio channels "Radio Vatan" (Radio "Motherland"). This channel covers the regions of Republican Subordination and Khatlon oblast.
• The WHO Country Office is planning to publish an article on World TB Day and related activities in one of the national newspapers "Digest press".
