The Turkish Ministry of Health has planned various activities throughout the country to take place on 24 March:

• TB training activities for students, workers, health care personnel and the public by Provincial Health Directorates;
• local radio and television programmes on World TB Day;
• news and articles about World TB Day in the press;
• conferences about World TB Day organized by different institutions and civil society organizations;
• distribution of TB awareness materials (posters, brochures) by all provincial health directorates.

The first week of every year is celebrated as "Tuberculosis Education and Propaganda Week" in Turkey. This year, The 65th Tuberculosis Education and Propaganda Week were celebrated on 1–7 January 2012 with activities organized across the country.
