Activities devoted to World Health Day in Ukraine will be organized in collaboration with USAID, PATH, the NGO 'Intelectualna Perspectiva' and other partners. They will include:

• a press conference;
• television programmes with a special focus on TB issues in Ukraine;
• events including a photo exhibition and concert to raise awareness about TB in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea;
• a press tour to Republic of Georgia with a follow up meeting with WHO.

Attention will also be directed to World TB Day during the 8 football matches that will take place in Ukraine on 24 March. The banner of the Stop TB Programme will be presented before the start of each game, the TV presenters will explain the main TB issues and a TB hot line number will be screened during all games.

A special press kit was prepared and distributed to national and local journalists starting in February. On-going support to journalists is being provided in preparing human interest stories etc.
