Uzbekistan

Activities devoted to World TB Day will be held in Uzbekistan jointly with the Ministry of Health, WHO, Republican DOTS centre, GFATM, the TB Institute, QHCP and other partners. These will include:

• a scientific conference on TB on 23 March;
• a press conference for the mass media on 24 March;
• a meeting on 29 March with deputies of the Parliament of Uzbekistan (Oliy Majlis) to discuss the Law of Uzbekistan on TB control and the current TB situation in the country.
