Dr Andrei Mosneaga

Dr Andrei Mosneaga was born in 1968 and is a medical doctor and Master of International Health Care Management, Economics and Policy from the Boccoini University School of Management in Milan, Italy.

He has almost 20 years experience in public health and international development assistance including 10 years experience of work at WHO as Head of WHO Country Office in Moldova, at WHO headquarters in Geneva and the WHO Tuberculosis Programme in South Caucasus; Team Leader of the Regional Tuberculosis Programme in South Caucasus for GOPA Consultants (2005-2010, financed by KfW); and has over 50 completed consultancy assignments in the areas of health policy, health systems organization and management, TB and HIV/AIDS.

Dr Mosneaga assisted with over 20 successful TB applications to the Global Fund in the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Being a certified GLC and GDF consultant, Dr Mosneaga has assisted a number of countries in the region in establishing and scaling up of TB drug resistance surveillance systems, rapid diagnostic technologies and treatment of drug-resistant TB patients. His areas of expertise include: TB including drug-resistant TB, HIV/AIDS, health policies development, health financing, organization of health services delivery, health information systems.
