They found I had TB during the fluorography testing when I applied for a new job in 2010. My father died of TB 6 years ago and my brother and sister also had TB, but they were successfully cured. I had no symptoms at that time, so I underwent the first course of treatment in Vitebsk region and was discharged. After a couple of months, I felt worse and was diagnosed as a relapse with TB. The second course of treatment didn’t help me, so I was referred to this hospital. I have no real problems with the side effects of the drugs, unlike some of my ward mates. I will soon have completed my 2 year course of treatment and believe that this time I will be free of TB. It is important to know that everyone can get TB and if you think you have the disease, you should not be afraid to start the treatment. You will be cured, but it takes time. You also need daily support to complete this complicated treatment.
