Young TB scientists annual conference in Russian Federation

22 young scientists presented their research findings in the field of tuberculosis (TB) control at the Annual Conference of Young TB Scientists held at the Central TB Research Institute traditionally devoted to  World TB Day. 88 abstracts in total from Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, Ukraine and Uzbekistan were submitted and published.

Chaired by the Central TB Research Institute and WHO and supported by The Lilly MDR-TB Partnership, Partners in Health, and Médecins Sans Frontières Operational Center Amsterdam (MSFOCA), the Conference contributed to capacity building, partnerships and international cooperation in TB control.

The Conference launched the 2014 TB research contest for young scientists as its finale.
