Improving road safety

Based on the findings of the European status report on road safety and thanks to a donation from The Bloomberg Family Foundation, additional activities to ensure road safety and road traffic injury prevention are taking place in 10 countries worldwide. Involved countries from the European Region include Russian Federation and Turkey.

In the Russian Federation, the project focuses on seat-belt use and speed control through media campaigns, collecting health-sector data, building capacity and working to improve the enforcement of legislation on risk factors.
