Photo story – WHO medical kits reach northern Syria

Ten surgical supply kits and five trauma kits have arrived in northern Syria, as part of WHO humanitarian and emergency operations. Procured with funding support from the Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance, the surgical kits that crossed the border from Turkey last weekend contain medical supplies to cover 1000 emergency interventions and trauma kits to support 500 life-saving interventions. It is the second shipment of medical supplies for northern Syria this year, arranged through the WHO field presence in Gaziantep, Turkey.
