Partners

Work on preventing cardiovascular disease spans various focus areas within WHO/Europe including nutrition, physical activity and socioeconomic determinants. Collaboration in these and other areas has been established with institutions such as the European Commission, the European Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC), the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Bank, and NGOs. WHO/Europe continues to explore opportunities for new strategic partnerships, based on shared health values and objectives.

WHO collaborating centres

WHO/Europe also works with the following two collaborating centres dedicated to issues related to cardiovascular disease. The WHO collaborating centres form part of an institutional collaborative network set up by WHO to support its technical work at the country, regional and global levels.
