This report aims to assist managers of national immunization programme, experts in health budgeting and experts responsible for vaccine procurement in accessing, understanding and utilizing available information on the vaccine market, in order to improve the efficiency of vaccine procurement and countries' abilities to make financially sustainable, informed decisions on procuring vaccine and introducing new ones. It consolidates data for 2013 that were provided by 23 Member States in the WHO European Region through the Joint Reporting Form of WHO and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The report provides a brief overview of the availability and transparency of information on vaccine pricing at the country level, the mechanisms for vaccine procurement, the vaccines procured and price information for each product. Individual procurement records include some of the variables expected to affect price, including countries' income groups, the volume of procurement, product formulation and presentation, delivery terms and vaccine procurement mechanism.
