WHO European Centre for Preparedness for Humanitarian and Health Emergencies, Istanbul, Turkey

Established in September 2020, the WHO European Centre for Preparedness for Humanitarian and Health Emergencies is aimed at assisting Member States to improve their emergency preparedness through the acceleration of implementation of the International Health Regulations (2005) core capacities.

By building capacity and facilitating intergovernmental partnerships, the Centre will strengthen operational capabilities and readiness for responding to health emergencies and disasters at the regional level.
