The WHO Country Office released a press statement about the theme of World Health Day, which received national media attention, and several interviews were conducted in the period leading up to World Health Day.

The WHO Healthy Cities Network also organized activities at local level in honour of the day.

Healthy ageing was also the focus of several Hungarian journals and magazines in their April 2012 editions.
