Blood services in south-eastern Europe: current status and challenges (2007)

This document discusses the status, as well as the most prominent challenges, encountered in the south-eastern European region in reference to blood services. It reviews the blood safety project, its policies, availability and quality systems. Each section finishes with a discussion of the results and possible recommendations for improvement. The final section of the document comprises a brief overview of each of the nine south-eastern European countries.
