Partners
WHO/Europe can only achieve its goals for disability and rehabilitation by forming and maintaining a wide range of partnerships with other organizations. Cooperation and collaboration enhance the impact of an effective and appropriate response to disability and rehabilitation in the WHO European Region.
WHO/Europe works closely with national governments, WHO headquarters, civil society groups, professional associations, scientific and academic institutions and networks, United Nations agencies, and other stakeholders.
Currently, our main partners in the field of disability and rehabilitation are the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australia, the Department for International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Partnership to Promote the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNPRPD).
WHO/Europe is also collaborating with professional associations such as the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO), the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).
