This publication was developed for public health professionals and laboratory scientists in the Member States of the Region to support their decision-making related to the conducting of serosurveys in the context of the regional goal for measles and rubella elimination.
The WHO EpiBrief periodical report contains an overview and analysis of epidemiological data on selected vaccine-preventable diseases in the WHO European Region. The analysis is based on data cumulated over a specified period as reported by Member States to the WHO Regional Office for Europe. Measles, rubella, invasive bacterial diseases and acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) usually feature in these reports. Monthly surveillance data by country are also presented separately in WHO EpiData summary tables.
