This library offers guidance to national health authorities and others who communicate about vaccine safety.

Communication and advocacy

WHO/Europe works closely with national authorities to improve their public communications related to immunization and to advocate for strengthening immunization programmes. It also provides resources for health care workers to talk to their patients about immunization.

Influenza

WHO/Europe and key partners aim to reduce influenza-related morbidity and mortality by strengthening virological and epidemoiological surveillance, using surveillance data, and maintaining and strengthening pandemic preparedness activities at the national level.

Measles and rubella

WHO/Europe places a high priority on eliminating measles and rubella from the Region and helps Member States in achieving this goal.

Poliomyelitis

WHO/Europe supports Member States in maintaining their polio-free status by coordinating and monitoring surveillance and immunization activities, providing guidance and helping to ensure political commitment.

Surveillance and data

WHO/Europe helps Member States to develop more effective surveillance systems, including laboratory systems. It also provides assistance to countries in monitoring and tracking disease outbreaks.
