Partners
WHO/Europe participates in more than 80 global climate-related health partnerships and many global, regional and national health networks. It also collaborates with various United Nations bodies, such as the World Meteorological Organization, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
The European Commission, including the European Environment Agency (EEA) and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), is a key partner for work on better understanding, monitoring of time trends and evidence-based solutions for climate-related events such as heat-waves.
WHO/Europe is currently cooperating with European partners in preparatory activities to set up an information platform by 2014.
