"Environment and health risks: a review of the influence and effects of social inequalities" was prepared as a background document to the Fifth Ministerial Conference on Environment and health held in Parma, 10-12 March 2010. Chapter 10 "Gender inequities in environment and health" reviews the existing evidence on how gender influences the four regional priorities indentified by the Children's Environment and health Action Plan for Europe: water and sanitation, physical activity, indoor and outdoor pollution and chemical free environments.
