WHO trains Romanian professionals from different sectors in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). Bucharest, Romania, 25-29 October 2010

Improving national and institutional capacity to ensure food safety is part of the Biennial Collaborative Agreement (BCA) between Romania and WHO/Europe for 2010-11.

Ensuring food safety requires multisectoral and multifaceted action, including on food safety management. The purpose of the training is to provide thorough knowledge on Integrated Food Safety Management Systems, in particular HACCP, with emphasis on selected case studies related to food processing establishments (e.g. catering, meat & milk products, seafood).

Participants, including national professionals from Romania working in the area of food safety implementation (food, public health and veterinary authorities as well as the food industry), are expected to transfer their newly gained knowledge to colleagues working at the local level.
