Second WHO European action plan for food and nutrition policy 2007-2012: tackling acute and chronic diseases related to food with a comprehensive approach

The WHO European Action Plan for Food and Nutrition Policy 2007–2012, developed to support countries in implementing national plans, addresses the main public health challenges in nutrition, food safety and food security.

The food safety component addresses universal concepts with a focus on tailored priority actions that tackle specific country needs. These actions were selected for their feasibility and effectiveness.
