6th meeting of the Regional Verification Commission for Measles and Rubella Elimination (RVC)

The RVC met for the sixth time on 15–17 June 2017 in Bucharest, Romania. The independent group of experts evaluated annual status updates for 2016 and other documentation submitted by national verification committees, now established in 51 out of 53 Member States. The RVC concluded that as of the end of 2016, endemic measles transmission was interrupted in 42 Member States, and endemic rubella transmission was interrupted in 37 Member States.
