Tackle Europe’s major disease burdens of noncommunicable and communicable diseases

Health 2020 focuses on a set of effective integrated strategies and interventions to address major health challenges across the European Region from both noncommunicable and communicable diseases. Both areas require determined and coordinated public health action and health care system interventions. The effectiveness of these interventions must be underpinned by actions on equity, social determinants of health, empowerment and supportive environments.
