European Immunization Week 2007
The second European Immunization Week on 16–22 April 2007 was a vibrant event. It launched a wealth of activities, reaching out to hard-to-reach population groups through advocacy, communication and supplementary immunization activities.
Twenty-five countries from all corners of the WHO European Region joined the initiative, involving parents, children and health professionals in their effort. In many countries, first ladies, ministers, celebrities, health experts and others joined the effort, contributing to the immense press interest brought about by the initiative.
The following countries participated: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy (South Tyrol), Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malta, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
