Meeting of Immunization Programme Managers in the WHO European Region (2014)

National immunization programme managers from 46 Member States in the WHO European Region gathered in Antalya, Turkey, on 18–20 March 2014, together with WHO and partners, to share evidence and best practice and work towards a coordinated effort across the Region to control vaccine-preventable diseases. Particular focus was placed on the Region’s 2015 elimination target for measles and rubella, maintenance of its polio-free status through further implementation of the Polio Endgame Strategy, strengthening surveillance, decision-making with regard to new vaccine introductions and joint development of a European Vaccine Action Plan.
